EVEN ANGELS’S CARRY SWORDS

There is a misnomer about Christianity. People will use verses of the Bible like Luke 6:29 that says “If someone slaps you on the cheek, offer the other one as well”, as evidence that Christians are forbidden to fight. Like we are required to take a beating. They forget verses such as Exodus 22:2 “If a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed" or my personal favorite, Psalms 144, “Bless the Lord my rock, who taught my hands how to fight, who taught my fingers to do battle.” While we are to try to solve all fights peacefully, if we are physically attacked…we do what we must do. It is not only ok to defend ourselves, its expected.
